Thomas Porter began his college cross country career as a freshman at Stanford, the California school which has one of the top athletic programs in the country.
Now the 2009 Mountain View High School graduate is winding down his college career at the University of Virginia, where he will be a graduate student in the fall.
Porter transferred to Virginia after one year at Stanford. He was 57th in the Atlantic Coast Conference meet in 2011 for the Cavaliers and then last fall was all-ACC as he was 11th.
